CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
AT LE NEGRESCO

Le Negresco brings art to children! For one afternoon, artist Gully will share his love of art with children at the "Raconte-moi l'histoire de l'Art et des artistes avec Gully" (Tell me about the history of art and artists with Gully) workshop.
Kids will draw and imagine their own artwork inspired by Gully's universe.

The workshop is split into three sub-workshops:

• A cartoon art workshop, during which children will draw based on the comics characters in Gully’s paintings. The children will then colour in these characters while the Art Kids Company art historian will tell them about the artists represented.
• A “Create, Imagine and Decorate your Museum” workshop: using pasteboard illustrating a museum to build, the children will assemble their models and will decorate their museum’s wall with the paintings they choose from the sheets and glue in place. The, they will add Gully comic strip characters to their models.
• Working “live” with the artist, the pupils will produce a large imaginary painting depicting the confrontation between artists of the New Realism movement (artists from Nice) and American artists chosen by Gully.

This creative workshop will be held in the Salon Massena from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The children (age 4 to 10 years) will be supervised by two cultural facilitators from Art Kids Company.

Afterwards, the children will enjoy a special afternoon treat prepared by our Head Pastry Chef, Charles Bernard. They will delight in this well-deserved break at the end of a very colourful day!
